It was obtained to replace a similar Citizen Eco-Drive that I gave her about six years ago. It stopped working and a local watchmaker said it would cost more to fix it than I paid for it, so I once again searched the internet for a suitable replacement. I had hoped to find a conventional battery-operated watch, such as a Seiko, but had no luck. My own watch is a thirty-five-year-old Seiko for which I paid less than $50 --it still works perfectly, with only battery replacement every five years or so. My daughter loves this watch so I'm happy to have found it -- I just hope it lasts longer than the first one (which, incidentally, cost about half as much as this one). A big plus was the performance of the seller -- very quick shipment and carefully packaged.Rich D. |
