Amazon.com Product Description
The Citizen Eco-Drive Aqualand stainless steel men's chronograph watch will make a powerful statement when worn with both business and casual dress, but it's made to take the punishment of deep-water diving with its 660 feet (200 meters) water resistance. It also features a depth sensor that provides an accurate reading to 125 feet and will also record your maximum depth into memory.
This watch has a large, round silver stainless steel watch case--which measures 41mm (1.59 inches) wide and 14mm (0.56 inches) deep--that's topped by a unidirectional rotating bezel with black engraved elapsed time markings and gold-tone highlights. The black dial background features three subdials (for the 50-minute chronograph, 24-hour display, and seconds), large luminous dial markers, luminous white-tipped hands (with red seconds hand). It's completed by a comfortable, durable rubber strap. Other features include a date display at 3 o'clock, scratch resistant mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating, and screw-back case, screw-down crown.
This watch is powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight and any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. With regular exposure to light, the Eco-Drive continuously recharges itself for a lifetime of use. This watch's Eco-Drive provides a 60-day power reserve, and it can be recharged with just 2 hours of exposure to light.

I was looking for a nice dive watch with an analogue dial, a rotating bezel, and good luminosity. I have a fondness for mechanical watches, but for sport diving I wanted a cool gadget with a depth guage to use as a back-up, and those only come in electronic watches. Since I already trusted Citizen's workmanship and design, I picked this one out. The watch has a tough stainless steel case which is large enough to be a good dive watch but not as ridiculously large as some of the ugly watches on the market. The case is not very thin, but because of the design with its beveled case back and bezel ring, it feels thin and it's not a problem putting my hand in my pocket. The two-tone rotating bezel has a solid, snappy feel to it, but is not too tight to turn with dive gloves on. The function buttons should not be pushed under water, but there is no reason to as the depth... Don't use for diving. Bought for its attractiveness. My only criticism is the rubber band, which is too long, but difficult to shorten. My other 2 Citizen watches are perpetuals. This watch is not, but easier to operate. Only occasional adjustment is date of month. Being light powered, not needing battery replacement is a great feature. |
